Callisto can be ready-to-go pre-installed in a box (standard system or 19" version) or you can get it as a Virtual Appliance. These are the pre-requisites for the different systems:
Prerequisites Callisto UCM:
Network
- Cisco® Unified Communications Manager version 3.3 or higher
- DHCP server in the LAN (DNS resolution for Windows IP network - name: //callisto/), LAN connection via RJ45 cable w/ 10/100 Base-T
- Cisco® Unified Communications Manager and Callisto UCM are in the same LAN segment
- For Virtual Appliance: VMware ESXi or Infrastructure, 512MB RAM, 8GB Harddisk for Callisto Virtual Appliance
User Side
- Browser Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
- Port 80 needs to be unblocked to enable web access to Callisto
- Phone with DTMF for remote access to voicemail box
- Cisco IP phones suitable for Cisco® Unified Communications Manager (different features are available with repect to phone types)

- Cisco® Unified Communications Manager Express version 3 or higher, IOS version 12.2(15)ZJ3 or Cisco® Unifed 500 Series, resp.

- Cisco® Unified Communications Manager Express or Cisco® Unified 500 Series and Callisto Express are in the same LAN segment
